Disclosure

30 Apr

I am apparently behind in the times. Some of you may be too, so I thought I would explain and share. There is a new page on this blog, Disclosure. Apparently the FTC requires that bloggers disclose whenever there could be hidden interests or unspoken biases when a blogger writes about a particular subject. The article says some bloggers were upset about the change, but it’s fine with me. This blog is not primarily financially driven at all, mostly just a place to share my thoughts and adventures. But……if I could make a few bucks here or there, it wouldn’t hurt my feelings any. As of today, April 30 2011, I have not made anything with any links enclosed in any of my posts. I enjoy sharing about the stuff I like. So, as Ricky use to ask Lucy I will now ‘splain some of this stuff.

Affiliate links: If it isn’t something I like or use myself I won’t be recommending it. If I do recommend something and there is an affiliate program we can use, I think it would be kinda dumb for me not to use, especially since I spend so much money at the current site I have an affiliate link with: Amazon. Does that mean I am going to link up to hundreds of things in my blog? No. But if I am linked to something and if you decide to use that link to purchase it, then yes, I will make a few cents off of it.  If it isn’t something I am using or enjoying, I won’t be recommending it just to make a few bucks. You can also see in a few of my posts things I don’t like and therefore wouldn’t recommend you buy. :)

Advertisers/Sponsors:  I don’t have any on the blog right now. The sites I recommend in my sidebar are simply blogs I like, some by friends and some from folks I have never met in person but really enjoy the content of. But, if I am ever approached by someone wanting to advertise/sponsor, I would update this disclosure to explain it. I would probably be very happy about it too. More than likely I will have a post about my new sponsor because I think it would be worth writing about.

Gifts:  If I am ever blessed with a gift from someone due to this blog, I will write a post about it and let you know they gave it to me, and whether or not I like it. I’m pretty open about the things I like and don’t like here, so that isn’t gonna change.

The truth is, in today’s economy it would be nice for any of us to figure out a way to help supplement our income. But this blog is not driven by that. If I come up for an idea that I think might do that, I would probably develop a new blog devoted to that idea.

To summarize, I have not been trying to pull one over on you my reader or on the FTC. I wasn’t aware of the need to disclose some of this, and will in the future update this notice as needed. At the moment I am not writing this blog for profit, I am writing it because I enjoy it and enjoy sharing my ideas and activities. I also write it to hopefully bring you, my reader, a few smiles as well. Not planning on changing any of that either.

I would love to hear from some of you on this subject as well. Do you use affiliate links? Do you have any sponsors or advertisers? How do you disclose your information? Looking forward to hearing from you, thanks for reading! Angela

Dreamin’….

25 Apr

……about the beach. What have you been dreaming of lately? We will hopefully be going to some beach in May. Until then I will reminiscence on other trips I’ve had to Charleston and Folly Beach, SC. The following are a few of my favorite pictures of these places..

This is a nice shot of the lighthouse on Morris Island taken from the end of Folly Beach.

Some really interesting trees and a bi-ped :)

Folly Beach Pier

My favorite pier in the world. :)

The Battery in Charleston

I love to walk along the Battery and hear the water lapping up against the walls and rocks. It’s a very peaceful sound. You can watch boats and ships coming and going as well. It always thrills me when one of the large ships honks as it enters the harbor, announcing it’s arrival to those in the area. I have sat many an hour on various benches in this area watching and listening and enjoying it all.

I call this the 'Pink House'

This is not my best picture, but this is a distinctive house on the battery. I always walk past it when I’m there. I’m sure it is the historical home or building for someone or something, but I have never done more than walk past, never walked up to and looked for a sign or plaque telling me the heritage. It’s enough for me to enjoy it as I walk past it. It has survived many hurricanes that have hit this city, along with lots of old churches, other homes and historical places. It’s comforting to me to go back and see it, time after time. I’m glad some things don’t seem to change.

Gnarly Dude!

This blurry pic is the best I could take of a giant sea turtle at the Charleston Aquarium a couple of years ago. He moved too quickly for me to get a good stable shot, but I really enjoyed seeing him. He was the first sea turtle I have ever seen up close. He was BIG too! They also had lots of baby turtles that were fun to see as well. The gnarly is a reference to a fun movie I like, Finding Nemo.

Baby Gnarly :)

The aquarium has a wonderful rescue program for sea turtles that I didn’t know about before. Click here if you want to learn more about it. There are now lots of little red signs on the beach with small rectangles of red flagging tape around them protecting known sea turtle nests. I think it is really cool to see them. I knew there were probably turtles around, but I don’t walk out much at a night, so I have never seen them come ashore to lay their eggs. I like that people are tracking it and trying to protect them.

I really love this area. If you have never been, you could never go wrong with a Charleston/Folly Beach vacation. I could give you a few names of some great restaurants, ;) . It’s been fun sharing today, lots of nice memories here. What are some of your favorite destinations? Do share, I would love to scope them all out! Until next time, I hope your dreams are coming true! As always, Angela

Help Save Charles Manly

23 Apr

Help Save Charles Manly -  per a blog post from a new friend, Rebecca Dunning. Click on her name to go directly to her blog post of this as well. This young man and his family need our help! Charles Manly, 14, has been diagnosed with RAD – Reactive Attachment Disorder and severe Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD.) Per his mother: He struggles more than any 14 year old boy should ever have to struggle. He is lost and alone. He is unable to obtain friends and continually sabotages any relationships he enters. Charles lives in a constant state of fear which causes him to be very reactive and destructive to those around him. After countless nights in prayer, God has opened a door to offer help and healing through a ministry that speaks life and love into struggling teenagers. It is Shepard’s Hill Farm/Academy. Charles became accepted into their 12 month therapeutic discipleship program. The family is very thankful that this door has opened. The program uses horses and Christ’s love to help the attendees learn how to attach and care for others.

Please repost this, blog it and share it on your social networking sites. Thanks so much, Rebecca

Dear Friends: I (Rebecca) am writing this unapologetically desperate (yet full of hope) for one of my best friends here in Colorado, Jen Manly. Her son, Charles is circling the drain emotionally and physically and in need of some serious divine intervention.

Reader’s Digest: Due to the safety of her other children, she and her husband are being required to remove him from their home to get help after they have exhausted ALL of their options and finances in every area to bring him rescue. After nothing short of a miracle Charles has been accepted to a Christian long term home called The Good Shepherd, that uses proven Jesus orientated therapy and bonding with horses to bring healing. Due to it having Christ involved they get no state funding and the cost is $55,000, with $11,000 of that needed up front to get him in.

Jen and her husband are cashing in their 401k, selling furniture (that they use) etc. to save their son and it still just scratches the surface.

I have been captured by the fact that Jesus went “all in” for me. Not only saved my soul, but brought me into relationship with him when ALL was against me. I am unashamedly asking for everyone I know to consider doing the same. I am crying out to the Father for full restoration!
Thanks,
Rebecca

PLEASE HELP:

1) PRAY!
2) Give: The website is: www.gofundme.com/charlesmanly.
3) For those in Colorado Springs. We are holding a garage sale April 22 and 23 (Fri and Sat) from 7am-2pm at 8933 Bellcove Circle, CS, CO 80920. Please donate items or come on by to shop.

I know this is a very different blog post for me, but I felt led to share so hopefully more of us would be able to help this family. My heart really goes out to them. I met Rebecca through The Blog Frog social network we are both a part of.  Thank you for reading and considering this. Any size donation would be a help, even $10. Thanks again, and I hope your weekend is wonderful and that your Easter is special too. Thanks! Angela

April 22, Earth Day

22 Apr

Odd personal note about Earth Day: I know about 7 people that this is also their birthday. Go figure. I’m a New Year’s Eve birthday girl myself, so I know that sometimes holiday birthdays can be tricky…but so far the folks I know with an Earth Day birthday are older than the actual holiday itself. How many of you remember the first Earth Day? It was April 22, 1970. I was 11 years old. I don’t remember much about it until I was a teenager, and by the time I was in high school it was a well known day. I love to recycle and re-purpose/reuse things so this is one of my favorite holidays. One of the strangest suggestions came from an aunt of mine, she told me how to use toilet paper twice. Easy. You blow your nose on it before you wipe your tushie. Lol! Not a practice most of us would use, but very practical if you think about it.

Do a Google search and you will find thousands of Green Websites. I have rounded up a few here (some that I use, some I have just found) for your surfing enjoyment. I think we will go for my standard list of 10.

1. Terracycle: Outsmart Waste – Tom Szaky wrote the book on this, literally: Revolution In A Bottle. A very interesting read and a website and philosophy dedicated to taking problem waste and recreating it into useful items.  I heart Terracycle.

2. Greenopolis: Get rewarded for recycling. Check out the website and look for them on Facebook. They have some interesting green discussions going on too.

3. BigGreenHead: Green blogs, green info, and green fun! An interesting website to surf and have fun with. Also has info on their local activities, which those of us not in the area would not be able to participate in, but still has some great info for green fans.

4. New Dress A Day : This started out as one woman’s idea to save on her wardrobe budget for a year. How did she do this? By re-purposing lots and lots of things from thrift stores and yard sales on the cheap. One day at a time. :) Some very neat ideas for any of us that can hold a pair of scissors and some needles and thread. Wonder if the mom who made her daughter’s prom dress out of starburst wrappers got the idea here or from Terracycle? Hmmmmmm…

5. Green Top Sites: The ranking comes from most visits to individual sites, not best ideas per se. Lots and lots of sites are suggested, so you should be able to satiate a large amount of green searches here.

6. Time Magazine: Surprise! Time magazine has a large selection of green articles and information. Somewhere out there is also a list of the top 15 green websites they recommend. I found that information through:

7. Treehugger: Wow! Lots and lots of information, articles, suggestions, polls, you name it! Too much to list here, go check ‘em out already!

8.  Daily Fuel Economy Tip: Practical tips to save you money at the pump and increase your mileage. Who can’t use help with that right now? Found them via number 9:

9. A Lighter Footstep: Per their about page: “A healthier family. A cleaner planet. Making the most of your weekly budget. That’s greener living. Welcome to Lighter Footstep, where we believe that big changes happen a step at a time. And no matter where you are on the journey toward a lighter, more Earth-friendly lifestyle, we’re here to help along the way.”

10. Grist: Looks like another “Wow!” I think. Per Time magazine: the Colbert Report of climate change, the Daily Show of deforestation, the Oprah of oil dependency — except with real reporting and analytical journalism. Also, Grist staffers have never had a dust-up with David Letterman. (Not yet.) The e-zine delivers news and news-you-can-use on pivotal topics — with…sometimes corny headlines…. Sounds like fun, looks like an awesome environmental website.

Hope you find some interesting topics, tips and facts in all these suggestions. I will be pouring over a few of them myself. Happy Earth Day everyone! Go recycle something already! :) Angela

Soul Changes, part 2

21 Apr

A Transformed Creature

My last few posts have been more on the light and fun side. Today is a more serious topic. In an earlier post, Don’t Let it Change You in Your Soul, I wrote about feeling broken, fragmented. Trying to hold myself together and helping myself heal and recover. To think on better things than the things that have hurt me. Think instead on these things: Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. (Philippians 4:8) I do try to do that. I succeed most of the time. I am also coming to an understanding and a realization about myself too. I think it’s a good thing.

The divorce and the ensuing life changes it forced on me broke me for a little while. I guess it took a while for me to figure it out too. I would not have admitted this a couple of years ago, but for some reason now I know that it’s ok to do it. I am human, just like you….and whether you realize it or not that means we are fragile. We are breakable. We are fallible, and don’t want to admit it. In the earlier post I spoke of having a hard time recovering from some things. Part of it being hard I think was my inability to recognize that something in me had broken and my personality, or my soul, had changed from that break. I am recovering. And that is ok. One alternative would have been to go into a severe depression and be committed. Another alternative would have been to end my life. That is not an acceptable alternative. Both were things at different times during the early part of my separation and divorce that I thought about. I am grateful I never had to be committed. I am even more grateful I did not commit suicide. God sent people to me that helped me get through given moments that I could not get through myself, another thing I am grateful for.

Now I am recognizing I am different. I am changed. When I first noticed it I didn’t really feel like it was a good thing, hence some of the discussion I was having in the first post. I didn’t feel like the change was for the better. I apparently have a fear of change, so it has taken me a few weeks to realize the change isn’t bad. It’s just different. I am being more responsible with my own emotional care. I am different, but I like myself today. I am a kind person, I like to help others. I am not as naive as I used to be. I am also realizing I don’t always have to give all of me away to someone to help them. It isn’t necessary. I have always tended to be an all or nothing kinda girl. Now I am understanding that was not a very wise way for me to handle myself emotionally…. and I see that I can still help others without doing damage to myself.

I think I feel like this is selfish on some plane, so that is one reason I feel so weird about it. I do have compulsion issues. I am not an alcoholic, but definitely have the personality traits for that kind of behavior. The compulsive side of helping would have me so throw myself into helping someone else that I would get lost, not be able to say no. Boundaries help in these areas a lot. So I have learned to say no. Again. I learned this lesson many years ago, but because of the changes I am discussing I have had to relearn an old lesson.

So, what’s new with you? Has life forced any changes on you that you would probably not have chosen yourself? I say in my facebook profile: “I’m glad to be where I am now. If I had been asked, I probably wouldn’t have chosen the paths that led me here, but now that I am arriving, I know there was value in traveling down each one.” This is a very true statement for me. Hope you are seeing the value in your own journey as well. Til we meet again :) , Angela

Azaleas In Wonderland

20 Apr

Recently we went to an estate sale that didn’t work out to have any thing I wanted to buy. But there was a beautiful yard full of all kinds of flowers, including lots of azaleas. I didn’t see any rabbits or rabbit holes, but there were a few squirrels. It reminded me a lot of my grandma’s yard. She loved flowers too and had all kinds. Here are a few choice shots:

Big Dogwood!

Close up!

I’m not sure what this last one is called, it was close to the ground and had spiky green foliage. It was a nice yard, you could tell the lady had put a lot of years of hard work into it. If it had been my grandmother’s there would have also been several irises as well. It was still a lovely yard. Hope you’re week is blooming with possibilities! Angela

Everyday’s a Birthday…

19 Apr

Boyfriend and Me

…and today just happens to be….Boyfriend’s birthday! We have been celebrating all weekend really, just gonna close the deal today and give him some prezzies tonight! Yay! Prezzies are my fave! He loves a series called Farscape, and it was abruptly ended a few years ago. Sci-fi channel problems or something. They did come back and make a mini-series to wrap up some of it, and then the creator of the show decided to continue the story in graphic novel form. So-o-o-o-o, three of Boyfriend’s gifts are these novels. I hope he reads them fast, because I want a chance at them too! It’s a frelling good show! ;) If you like sci-fi you will really enjoy this series. The characters are a lot of fun and the story lines are pretty interesting most of the time.

I also got him a DVD of a hilarious guy, Gabriel Iglesias, ‘I’m Not Fat, I’m Fluffy!’ We heard him on Comedy Central during our vacation and laughed and laughed at his skit. We ended up watching it 3 or 4 times, so now he will have the DVD to watch as often as he likes. :) He has no idea, I can’t wait to see how he likes all of his gifts! We will be going out with friends soon too to celebrate his b-day, so it may be more like birthday month than just birthday weekend.

Monday came and went and I had a day off! Yippee! I rested, and lounged and just didn’t do much at all. I was also dealing with strained muscles in my back, but I got some help for that from my massage gal and my chiropractor. Apparently my desk and my body don’t like each other very much, so massage gal and my chiropractor both have job security to keep me in shape for life. :)

I now have taxes behind me, so I want to get re-focused on sewing….only problem is my room has turned into a giant pile again, so I will have to clean up before I can sew. Bummer. I’m not too good at keeping it caught up anymore. I’m still pretty organized just messy. Guess it’s time to pull out my notebook and make that list again. :)

Well, gonna leave it here for now. I will let you know how the prezzie part goes later this week. I hope there’s cake! :) Later, Angela

Places To Go, People To See…

17 Apr

I have a few new websites I have found, thanks to an idea from:  afwifemomcrafter. She wrote a post about what tabs she had open after her weekend, and there are some really good things to share from that! Some of these are her finds, some are websites I like and use too, others are from friends. How about we start a list? Okie dokie, here we go….

1.  Tagxedo turns words – famous speeches, news articles, slogans and themes, even your love letters — into a visually stunning tag cloud, words individually sized appropriately to highlight the frequencies of occurrence within the body of text. I haven’t used it yet, but I will be soon. I love the idea! I will share one after I make it ;) .

2.  Inkin’ & Thinkin’ - I love this site! This lady is uber creative. Her photos alone are worth a visit to her site. There are also crafty ideas, foody stuff and lots of inspiration I think to help you just soak for a while or to give you the ‘oomph’ to get up and do something yourself. I am really enjoying just hanging out here. Very interesting site.

3. Good Reads - I started using this site because I wanted some way to keep up with all the craft books I was reading, and writing them in a notebook like dear Daughter does wasn’t working for me. :) I didn’t want to ask her to start a notebook for me. Yeah, well…..I kept checking out books and would then get home and realize I had already read it….Dang! So this site helps me keep track of all of them. It also gives you the ability, if you want, to rate books 1 star – 5 star and write a review as well. Did you love it? Did you hate it? Did it help you or waste your time? There are others things you can use on the website as well, I just haven’t tapped into all of them yet.

4. Eat Your Books – not literally of course! This one comes from my friend Steph over at Kitchen Stuff I Love. Do you have lots of cookbooks but always seem to go to the web to search for a recipe instead of using your own? Well now you can use this website to search your OWN books, and start using them. The first five books are free, but the annual fee is currently around $25 for all your books. That’s like 2 bucks a month. So if you have lots of books like Steph you can really use it. Me, not so much. I think I own 2 cookbooks right now. :) But those of you with multiples could find it very handy.

5.  Married With Luggage – This is the blog of a couple on a mission to redesign their lives to travel full time. Whether your dream is halfway around the world or in your own backyard, you’ll find information on goal-setting, living well, managing your money, and simplifying your life every week on this blog.” (their words) I say it’s fun to see where they are, how much they have spent and what problems they are overcoming or joys they are celebrating. It has been very interesting so far.

6.  This is one I found through TheBlogFrog: House of Dough – This site has recipes, some craft ideas, funny pictures. The drawback is it is ad heavy, but still enjoyable. Lots of her ideas are quick and easy too.

7.  Here are some great homemade gift ideas from Tip Junkie, just click on the name to check it out.  The ideas were put together for teacher appreciation day, but you could make the things for yourself or anyone. This site has lots of good ideas for things like decorating, sewing, recipes, organization, etc. Check it out!

8.  Evernote -  Remember Everything! Online storage for everything, lists, pictures, projects. It’s like having an online assistant accessible to you anywhere you have internet access. I really like this one!

9.  Sew Homegrown – Not all sewing things, lots of great ideas and tips here too. There are projects you can try too. There are natural health ideas, gift and home decor ideas too.

10.  Party Time! The Hostess With the Mostess – that’s how it’s spelled folks, :) . Lots and lots and lots of party ideas. Theme parties for adults, theme parties for children, baby showers, holidays….you name it. I enjoy just looking through all the stuff, and pick up cute projects I can make just for me. Fun!

Alrighty! I think 10 is a nice round number to stop on. You have to check these out and let me know what you think. I will share some more later on. I really enjoyed putting this post together. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Talk to you soon, Angela

Shirley, Goodness and Mercy…

14 Apr

April Fool’s weekend was a very busy and happy weekend. Sorry for the delay in sharing, but the headaches have made it hard for me to do much other than work. We started the weekend off on Friday, which was April 1, and one of my grandson’s 10th birthday. The party was great! We got him a really cute toy, basically a cardboard guitar called Paper Jamz. It was the hit of the party! The other 2 grandsons were wanting to play it bad, but the birthday boy wouldn’t lay it down. However he very generously shared his other presents with them, as long as they didn’t touch the guitar. :) It was an impulsive gift that paid off big dividends, let me tell you. He can really learn to play guitar with it if he wants to as well. It comes with instructions for that, as well as 2 or 3 demo songs he can strum along to. It also has a pretty decent volume button, so even though it was kinda loud I did get a couple of points with my son and daughter-in-law for NOT buying the amplifier to go with it. It was a very successful party as far as I could tell. We enjoyed it and so did the kids.

We got ready to go home around 9 or so, and I was gonna run to the bathroom before we left, but found it was occupied. Since the occupant was going to need it for a while, ;) , we gave everyone quick hugs and kisses and headed to the gas station for a quick potty break before our 35 minute trip home. We get there and dash in, thinking we will be on the road in just a minute. Then, I met Shirley. Or kinda, well maybe not met her but heard her. Well, wait. Let me explain…..

I met Shirley last night in the bathroom of the gas station. She was talking on her cell phone explaining to whomever was on the other end: she knew she was slightly lost. She had passed Spartanburg, she was maybe in Landrum (yes, she was. She was in a bathroom in Landrum). She kept talking about places in the area, but not really like she knew where they were, I could tell they were just names to her. She wasn’t admitting it, but she was really lost and pretty confused, but she was trying to not worry her friend on the other end of the phone.

I was drying my hands when she came out of her stall. She had the most beautiful white head of curls I have ever seen. Lots and lots of fluffy curls. She was probably around 65 to 70. I’m not sure, but I’m almost 50 and as beautiful as she was, she was a good bit older than me. I stopped her as she was leaving, and told her I wasn’t trying to pry but I couldn’t help overhearing her phone conversation. Was she lost? Could I help? I told her I grew up in the area and knew a good bit about it.

Shirley started telling me her story. She was traveling to Boiling Springs. She had missed her exit, and wasn’t sure where she was. She knew she was past Spartanburg, and she needed to be. But now she wasn’t sure where she was and she needed to get to Boiling Springs. I smiled, and patted her hand. I knew exactly where she was headed and what she had done wrong. I tried to tell her, but she needed me to write it down for her. We stepped out to the gas station, and I got a pen and some paper from the attendant, and started writing the simple directions out for her. She was so happy, she was patting my arm and smiling. When Boyfriend came out, I introduced them and kept writing and explaining directions to her.

I could tell she was coherent, but she must have been tired. She was getting the directions confused. I told her to turn right out of the parking lot and take an immediate right onto the interstate. She kept pointing left. I told her to go 10 miles and take the exit and turn left to go to Boiling Springs. She kept pointing right. I let her read the directions and she would say the right thing, but point the wrong way. I got worried. She wasn’t going to be able to correct this herself. I looked at Boyfriend, then I looked at her. Sweet but tired face. I couldn’t throw her out into the night and not know where she was! I tell her we will lead her to the exit ramp of the interstate, then I will be sure she has her bearings and she can go on from there. Is that alright with her?

Beautiful smile! Oh, she just can’t believe we would do that for her! She is so thankful she stopped to use the bathroom here. I guess it worked out well for us to have to stop too.  She and I exchanged phone numbers. She gets in her car, we get in ours and off we go down the interstate, with Shirley, goodness and mercy following close behind. :) I kept telling Boyfriend to not go too fast, she was having trouble keeping up, and when cars passed her she would swerve a little to the right. We didn’t lose her, and she stayed with us. It was a long 10 mile drive, but soon enough we got to the exit and at the top I got out to see if she was ok.

I told her this was where she would turn left and at the end of the road turn right and she would be in Boiling Springs. She pointed right again, and then I had her repeat it to me. She didn’t want us to go any further with her, she thought she could do it. I go over directions again, while a car passes by and she thanks me profusely and tells me she will call me if she gets confused again. We turn right to go the long way home, she turns left and heads toward Boiling Springs. Boyfriend and I talk about her all the way home. It takes us about 45 minutes to get there. I sit in the car looking at my phone. I haven’t heard form her. Is she ok? Should I call her? Will it confuse her, or cause her to miss a turn or something? I slowly put my phone away, thinking I will wait a while. Right as my phone touches the bottom of my purse, it rings! It’s Shirley! She is with her sister and they are so happy and thankful she ran into me. She calls me her guardian angel, and I tell her I am very glad she is safe with her sister and off the road for the night. She thanks me again for helping her, telling me she is thanking God for me. We say goodbye. I close my phone and we go into the house, happy and smiling at each other.

A psalm of David, number 23

1 The Lord is my shepherd. He gives me everything I need.  2 He lets me lie down in fields of green grass. He leads me beside quiet waters. 3 He gives me new strength. He guides me in the right paths for the honor of his name. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid. You are with me. Your shepherd’s rod and staff comfort me. 5 You prepare a feast for me right in front of my enemies. You pour oil on my head. My cup runs over. 6 Surely (Shirley) goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life. And I will live in the house of the Lord forever…. my ‘translation’ of Shirley of course, but I think it fits very nicely with our adventure. :)

I had to go to the bathroom at the gas station. I am very glad indeed! I’m glad I was there to help. Hope you are having a wonderful day! Remembering this has brightened mine. Thanks for reading! Angela

Falls Park at the Reedy River

13 Apr

These are pictures from Falls Park in Greenville SC from Saturday April 9, 2011. It was another warm day, around 86 degrees. We enjoyed a quick stroll and I have these pics to share:
