Finally~Artisphere!

05 Jun

We had a wonderful weekend May 13-15! Artisphere was in Greenville, and we were all over it! It had the feel of a small fun circus to me, there were tons of artists and activities going on! There was a glass blower doing demos, and a kids activity using paper bags to make hats. From what I saw quite a few adults got in on that activity as well. I have a few pictures to share of some of the treasures we found. My pictures did not turn out as nice as usual, so maybe a new camera will be on my wish list for later. But I will attach all the websites so you can cruise the web to your hearts content.

Nankaii Jewelry

First, we found some lovely bamboo earrings made by the lovely Nancilee Woodyard. Checkout her website NANKii to see more of her fabulous designs. I love my earrings! They are so light it doesn’t feel like I’m wearing any at all. She specializes in hand-carved lost wax casting and custom jewelry.

Love Note

Next we found something I thought was very unusual. Origami Love Notes. Lisa Norris is the creator of these sweet little notes. They are made out of vintage paper, 4X4 heartshapes folded that contain a small piece of paper for you to write your note on, also embellished with a vintage button. I choose one made from a map because I like to travel. Her website is charming, with several handmade gifts to choose from. If you like to journal, she makes several varieties of those as well. Have fun choosing your favorite!

Dolan Geiman

Dolan Geiman

My next treasure was hard to choose. Dolan Geiman is a very creative gentleman. His promo is “Contemporary Art with a Southern Accent.” He has a large variety of pieces, from framed art to mixed media pieces. His ideas were fresh and new to me. I loved several of them, so as I said it was very hard to choose. This was my choice:

He and his lovely wife were very personable and I enjoyed visiting with them while we were shopping. Have fun on his website, I am as I try to choose my next piece! :)

Another fun booth was the one from Kim Hunter and Steve Pottichen. They use vintage images to make glass coasters. We went through every display to pick the ones we wanted. Two were for me (Wizard of Oz and the Wicked Witch), we picked one out for each of my daughters too. Their email address is: SKTEAPOTS at AOL dot COM. They are working on their website and Etsy store so please email them if you are interested in checking out their products.

I don’t have a picture to show of the last treasure, it went home with Boyfriend. It was a wonderful, fun print from phillip singer. This link will show you the print we bought, this link will take you to his website. He is another artist with a great sense of humor. We spent a lot of time in his booth enjoying his play on words and the images he created. Visit his site just for the laughs, then see if you don’t find a couple of things you need as well. I was also very proud of Boyfriend for spontaneously buying something for himself. As mentioned in some earlier posts, :) , it can take him years to make a decision on a purchase. He is overcoming his procrastination! Yay! Or at least that’s how I’m gonna look at it.

Well, this checks one thing off my blogging list of things I want to share with you. 8) We had a wonderful time that weekend. I hope you enjoy this post! Let me know if you find any favorites while visiting today, I always love to hear from you! Have a wonderful Monday tomorrow! Angela

Disclosure: Neither Boyfriend or I received any goods, services or discounts for this post.
