I have more of my gratitude list to share today.
It’s a good day to do it too, one of those busy, crazy, I can’t wait to be home days. I am looking forward to these posts now myself…..
1. Libraries: I love books! I love to see them all stacked up nicely on the shelf, I love to see them laying on a table, I love to see them sitting in a chair. Kinda sounds like Dr. Seuss
. But love some books, I do, I do! I am thankful for libraries full that are free for the borrowing….until I forget I have them and have to pay the occasional fine.
How about you, do you love books too?
2. I am grateful for far away friends who take the time to send small messages, even a small text to let me know they are thinking of me today. With this friend that means someone was praying for me today, and that thought makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. Why don’t we both say a prayer for a friend and let them know we are thinking of them? It just might give them the warm fuzzies too……
3. I am grateful for my home, my refuge, the place I can run to when the day is over and just be me and be loved. God has blessed us with a nice home too. I grateful for that as well.
4. I am grateful for lists that get done, with each thing finished, marked off and celebrated! Remember those shelves we bought at Ikea? We were working on shelf assembly and unpacking at Boyfriend’s home this weekend, and it felt good to look back over what we accomplished at the end of the weekend. One step closer to being unpacked. Bless his heart, he’s only lived there 2 years.
5. I am grateful for games and the fun we have while playing them.
We are playing Little Big Planet 2 and let me tell you we come up with some funny characters when we do. This little guy was Boyfriend’s sackboy creation. Doncha just love the cupcake hat? We won that on the last level we played.
I laugh so hard every time we play. I am really grateful for fun and laughter! Aren’t you?
6. I am always grateful for nature and what I am surprised by day to day. I love to spot hawks and butterflies, they always just make me smile. I have a small swarm of butterfly magnets and ornaments I am accidentally collecting. I didn’t start out thinking, I want to collect butterflies! But after realizing I own about 20 different kinds as well as 7 or 8 pairs of butterfly earrings, I think that qualifies as collecting. I do love to see them outside flying around. Having them hanging in my room just reminds me of that feeling I guess.
7. I love the fact that I am older now. I am very thankful for that. I am more settled and content than I have ever been. I still have moments that flap me occasionally, but usually they are few and far between, if menopause isn’t raging through me.
I can take a deep breath and just realize that this too will pass, and I have survived a lot worse, whatever it is that is bothering me. That really is a comforting feeling. Maybe that’s one of the things that makes enjoying myself feel so good now.
That seems to be it for today. The idea for this list came from Ann Voskamp. Please feel free to click on the button at the bottom of the page to see more grateful people and maybe join with us. We would love to have you! Let me know what wonderful things you are grateful for this week, I’m sure it will be a great list! Angela

I am grateful for lists that get done + I am grateful I am older now.
Angela, these are absolutely my fav. I resonate so much with these two. BTW, I hopped over from Blogfrog (Life Musings) to visit you here.

I am thankful for everything on your list! I do love books, my grandmother planted that see in me. I must read a little everyday.
I am learning to love the outdoors since I have one little boy that lives to be outside. It’s a fun experience this summer.
